Bio

I was born and raised outside of Atlanta, GA, and I attended the Georgia Institute of Technology obtaining a B.S in Materials Science and Engineering in 2010. In 2011 I was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.

I study the structure-property-processing relationships of small molecule bulk heterojunction organic solar cells (BHJ OPVs) with a focus on non-fullerene electron acceptors. I'm interested in understanding the limitations of BHJ OPVs fabricated using non-fullerene acceptors so that new processing conditions and molecules can be designed to overcome these limitations. It is my hope that ultimately this work will further the development of high efficiency BHJ OPVs fabricated from inexpensive, scalable donor and acceptor molecules.
