Bio

I was born in a small Ukrainian town. When I was a kid, we grew and eat lots of potatoes. My potato growing experience finished when I was admitted to a boarding school in the capital city of Kiev. Since then my life is getting more exciting every day. I love traveling and photography.

My education:

  • PhD in Physics, University of Groningen (the Netherlands)
  • MSc in Nanoscience (Physics), University of Groningen (the Netherlands
  • MSc in Physics of Semiconductors, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine)
  • BS in Applied Physics, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine)

For my PhD thesis I worked on exciton diffusion in organic semiconductors. My main achievements include developing two new spectroscopic methods to measure parameters of singlet and triplet exciton diffusion. My methods have advantages of being simple and direct.

Now I am creating a new electronic device, which converts electronic noise to useful DC current. This ratchet device can be used in energy harvesting applications. My work includes both experimental and theoretical components.
